I’m a guy in WA (Western Australia, not Washington!) embroidering controversial things onto organic cotton with recycled thread, which is an interesting way to avoid getting a normal hobby.
I like making people laugh, pushing things a little (way) too far, and putting dumb thoughts on very good hoodies. POP VULTURE is where all of that ended up.
Why buy from me instead of some faceless brand?
Because it’s just me.
- No investors and no shareholders. No corporate overlords asking whether 'cunt' aligns with the brand strategy. You’re buying directly from the person who embroidered your hoodie, packed it, and probably (definitely) stared at it for too long before sending it.
- The hoodies are made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton and the embroidery thread is made from 100% post-consumer recycled PET bottles. It’s strong, colourfast and built to survive repeated washing, questionable decisions and whatever else you put it through.
- Your order comes in a compostable mailer made from plants. I didn’t know plants could become mailers either, but here we are.
- I’ve checked every supplier I use because 'trust us' isn’t really good enough. The cotton and thread come from suppliers with independent GOTS and GRS certification, covering things like labour conditions, production standards and environmental practices.
- Basically: no shady supply chain, no vague ethical claims, no crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
- I even looked into my bank. They don’t lend to or invest in fossil fuel industries, and they’ve put more than $400 million back into the community. Million. With an m!
I started POP VULTURE because I was sick of corporate life and the endless churn of fast fashion. I wanted to make clothes that feel personal, last, and bring a bit of stupid joy into your day.
